It seems with any meaningful power increase (such as with the 2019 23.8hp model, etc.) it may be a smart move. Would 13-inch wheels degrade the aesthetics/design flow of the 300? |

The only problem as I see it is getting the special wind you need to go in the bigger wheels. Ordinary stuff is no good! I take it you can obtain the special wind ok in Scotland stage2? I've heard there is a lot of wind up your way. Jet, I don' think Piagigo has ever talked about fitting 13" wheels as standard, and I personally don't think they need to go there with 24ps. Mine is smooth enough at 70-75mph, but undoubtable 13's would be a bit better. ⚠️ Last edited by Stromrider on UTC; edited 1 time |

Other than that no issues. Your scoot really does look great! How do the larger wheels effect your ride/its performance? |

The black GTS is a 13 model, my other one is an 11 model, and , to be fair, the 11 saddle is more comfy, even at rest, so its not exactly comparable. Living in Edinburgh, the roads arent exactly Autobahn standard Here's a picture of one of the roads on my daily commute- it closes to traffic between 10 am til midnight. |

I've been thinking about spending the money to change my 12 inch for the 13's on my 2011 GTS. It's got a top case and bar weights. I like to ride her at more of her top end speeds and would like to have the larger wheel base. Is it lower as someone mentioned? I wouldn't mind as my 29 inch inseem, I can flat foot when I lean on one side but have trouble flat footing both. |

AnnDee4444 Hooked GTS 250 Joined:UTC | UTCquote It's worth noting that the Gilera Runner wheels above are 3.5" wide, where as all other 12" & 13" wheels that fit the GTS are 3" wide. I think that the wider wheel and lower profile flattens out the tire's contact patch, which could limit the max lean angle. Realistically it's not an issue though, as the center-stand and body already limit that... Here's some more info & pictures: |

The speedo's off already, so what the heck. |

That's where the idea formed. Roughly speaking it's $100 for the rim and then the cost of the new tire. So, not including labor, around $400 to upgrade. Now the idea of the 13.5 inch also intrigues me as it is wider. I like to ride 45-55 or higher and with the topcase and barweights, I'd still like a bit more stability at those mid to higher end speeds. |

Paul Everything is available in the US if you can find someone to ship it. I'm in California, and was able to get Gilera wheels from SIP shipped direct. Here are some Piaggio 13" wheels that should fit (I'm not 100% sure about the Italjet wheel) Gilera Runner Rear: https://www.sip-scootershop.com/en/products/rim+rear+piaggio+for+gilera+_pi56390rg MP3 Business Front: https://www.sip-scootershop.com/en/products/rim+front+for+piaggio+mp3_pi000901 MP3 Yourban Front: https://www.sip-scootershop.com/en/products/rim+front+for+piaggio+mp3_pi58536r Italjet Dragster Rear: http://www.italjet.co.uk/index.php?act=viewProd&productId=641 |

The speedo's off already, so what the heck. If you run a 130 tire, the speedometer is closer to reality. The 130/70r12 is almost the exact same height as a 130/60r13. |
