Health Science Center
The University of Texas at Tyler Health Science Center aims to graduate driven and innovative health professionals, advance our understanding of the human condition and apply these findings to serve East Texas and beyond.
The Health Science Center is home to UT Tyler's School of Medicine, School of Health Professions, multiple research centers, and the UT Health North Campus Tyler. Together, this campus is home to leading clinical, translational, public health, preventative and scientific research to expand what we know about diseases and populations. We offer multiple community programs designed to education and improve the quality of life for all.

Locations and Formats
Longview University Center
Benefitting from our transfer partnership with Kilgore College and other East Texas community colleges, students can complete upper-division courses in nursing, industrial technology, education or business to finish their bachelor’s degree close to home. Longview is additionally home to continuing education programs and the Small Business Development Center, dedicated to encouraging entrepreneurship across the region. The campus is also home to one of the award-winning UT Tyler University Academy campuses.
Palestine Campus
The Palestine Campus serves the southwest region of East Texas with convenient access to nursing courses at the bachelor’s and master’s levels. The campus is also home to one of the award-winning UT Tyler University Academy campuses.
Houston Engineering Center
Through our partnership with Houston Community College, aspiring engineers first earn their associate degree before transferring to UT Tyler to complete the remainder of their coursework at the Houston Engineering Center. Students can work toward a bachelor’s in mechanical, electrical or civil engineering or construction management. Master’s degrees are also offered in mechanical, electrical and civil engineering and engineering leadership.
